Days Inn Ashland

They need to shut this hotel down and redo the decor and change carpets. My door had issues opening and shutting. The hotel smelled like musty smoke even in the non-smoking areas.

This hotel was absolutely filthy. They was so much dirt on the AC register that we took the cover off and cleaned it with one of the hotel towels and the towel was then completely black. The rugs were so dirty that I refused to walk on them barefoot so I wore socks and just from walking back and forth from the bed to the bathroom throughout the night the bottoms of my white socks were black. This hotel was ok. The room had a funny smell but for the price, I felt that I was in a safe location and it seemed clean enough.

We stayed here while traveling to Ironton, OH. It was just a short drive back and forth to the hotel. The staff was friendly, the rooms were nice (very nice bathrooms), and the free continental breakfast got us up and moving the next day. We didn't bring our dog, but the hotel is pet friendly; so, maybe next time. The non-smoking rooms were nice too, as they didn't smell like ashtrays. KY I expect better

I don't really have anything nice to say. The beds were hard as rocks and there was hair on our sheets. The coffee pot didn't work and there was an old, used tea bag in the filter. The clock didn't work. There was mildew behind the sink faucet, the tub didn't look that clean and I was slightly afraid to walk barefoot in the bathroom. Good for economy in and out visit. Pleasant staff and free breakfast were nice.
